NHS Staff App Hackathon.

Building on our ESR integration work with NHS England, Tom Duffelen, Think Learning Development Services Manager, and Peter Holmes, Solutions Consultant, attended and participated in the NHS Staff App Ideas Hackathon at the AI playground in Google's London office on the 30th of April.

The event aimed to revolutionize the experience of NHS staff though digital innovation and engage with suppliers, tech enthusiasts, and future hackathon participants. The event also centered around 5 main areas: onboarding, training, work-life patterns, communication, wellbeing, and overall shell architecture.

Our Solutions Consultant Peter Holmes said "we recently participated in the NHS Staff App Ideas Hackathon at Google's London offices. The NHS Staff App aims to enhance the NHS staff experience by creating a unified digital "front door", focusing on seamless integration with other apps and services. Key areas addressed included onboarding, training, rostering, core HR, and identity management, leading to innovative solutions for NHS staff needs.

Our team collaborated with other experts to begin designing a solution that integrates the NHS Staff app with learning management systems, aiming to simplify access to mandatory training (from multiple sources) for NHS staff. The event also gave us an opportunity to explore Google's AI Playground and collaborate with large language model experts!

We're excited about the potential of this project and its role in improving the NHS staff experience."
